./configure & qt

When I configure some programs that use qt, they often don't find them. Why? Some programs find the mocs or bins, but never the libs.

My qt is at /usr/lib/qt3. I have tried configuring with --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt3. Am I doing something wrong?

Should I reinstall qt?

try --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib instead, though I'd be very surprised if it wasn't finding that by default.

Nope, it didn't find them...
I tried with few other qt programs and some of them actually found qt.

qt is not qt2 is not qt3 they are different and incompatible libraries... make sure they are after the right version.
