compiler problem


I just install mandrake 8.2 and I was trying to execute a c++ program with this command.

I try both gcc and g++ to execute the program and it give me error message.
I try g++ -o kala kala.cpp
the compiler complaint
gcc:installation problem. cannot exec cpp0: no such file or directory.

Not being daft, but did you opt to install the development packages when you installed Mandy 8.2? If I remember correctly, unless you did so, you won't have had the compilers installed! Go to Software Manager and see... and if they haven't been installed... you know what to do!
