Red face CHIRP Amature Radion Programming Software


I trying to upload data from my Amature TYT TH9800 Mobile Ham radio using CHIRP software. I keep getting the folowing error (Could not configure port: (5, 'Input/output error') Can anyone help?

Are you using a USB serial port adapter?
Does your user have read/write permissions to the device?
