Changing from Gnome to KDM.

I am a complete newb here. I installed Suse 10.1 and started with Gnome. I would like to try KDM, but can't figure out how to change from Gnome to KDM. I would like to try them side by side, by running one login under Gnome and the other under KDM. Any help would be most appreciated. I haven't done in programming since high school 20 years ago and that was BASIC, and the most I could do was make my computer tell me hello. I have learned a little bit of bash, so I am familiar with some of the concepts, but not up to snuff yet on paths.

Thanks

Well I'm not sure if it's possible to run them both at the same time, but if you got both gnome and KDE installed, theres a choice of session usually found at the login page.

Personally I just can't get on with gnome. I've tried 5 or 6 times, I just find KDE more straight forward/intuitive - maybe it's just that it's more like windows or something!

regards

John

I too prefer KDE, but because I think it's less like Windoze!

You may well be right. It's not something that I've ever bothered to think about.
