I am very new to linux and i am attempting to install RH Linux 9 on a Dell PowerEdge 2300 with a Samsung SM-308B HH 8X CDRW/DVD. My problem is that it is asking for a driver so that it can see the cd drive and I have looked all over the internet and not found a linux driver for this drive. Is there a generic driver that might get me going? I made a bootdisk and have reached the part of the installion where it asks were the remainder of the installation files are, i say the cd rom and it is asking me for a driver for my cd rom. I'd appreciate any info you can give.
