Question Canon Drivers

i believe they are a .dd file or something...

anyways... let me cut to the chase.

System
-----------
mdk 8.1 xfree86 4.2.0
canon bjc-4100 on WindowsXP machine over network
samba setup on my machine. works fine.
using kups to setup my printer via smb works fine

Problem
-----------
the printer prints rubbish... pages of it... wasting my ink.
i suspect not the right drivers bc i selected RAW drivers because it did not have canon drivers anywhere.

I ASSUME
-----------
the drivers have to do with CUPS
tried upgrading CUPS
cant because i require blah, and then blah requires PNG,
cant upgrade PNG because a bunch of things links to it or something, MDK wont let me upgrade.

:smash:

PLEASE......... help out.......

im almost there........

any suggestions is appreciated. thx.

Just configure another printer.............................all the canon drivers should be listed.
