Cannot Read DVD-ROM automatically

I cannot get data after I insert DVD into DVD-ROM. if i double clik the DVD-ROM Icon it gives error info:

Quote:

Unable to mount media
there is probably no media in the drive

but i can mount DVD-ROM manually under Terminal Mode.

how should i solve it?

What command exactly do you use to mount the media??? Does this match the contents of /etc/fstab for the drive???

I did:

mount /dev/DVD /mnt/DVD
it works.....

there is no contents about DVD in /etc/fstab

I added it on manually as

/dev/hdc /mnt/dvd auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0

but it doesnt work
