Can a "group" be a member of another "group"


Hi,

Can a "group" be a member of another "group"

alternatively can you add multiple groups to a file or folder.

Sadly, no - that is one thing that Windows/Novell have over *nix authentication. I've never played with NIS (*nix's "domain" authentication, like NDS or AD on Novell or Windows) - maybe it would be of some help if you're looking at something enterprise level, but on a single machine, nope - you need to add every user to every group manaually and have groups set up for every little thing you want set up differently. This means a lot of groups if a real environment...
