I have installed Slackware 7.1 on an old box i have, everything went smoothly (after reading posts here to cure my probs) but now when trying to start X server all i get is a black screen. I have ran the xf86config command and set every thing up. I have looked and looked for answers but have found no solutions. Any advice would be great

I guess it helps to tell you the card is an ATI rage 128.

Maxtor 10 gig HD
Samsung 8X Cd rom
32 MB Ram
So its pretty old, I couldnt get Slack 10.0 To install on it so thats why i went to an older version, I was hoping the release for that time would work a little better with the box.
