Have you tried yum installation? Compiz should be available on F9. I read that Beryl and Compiz merged to create Compiz-fusion. And it should be available on F9 repos through yum.
Nah its not installed by default. But it should probably be in the yum repos. Though yum install beryl will not work.
You will need to install compiz. Another package that needs to be installed is compizconfig-settings-manager. Atleast on ubuntu it needs to be installed.
You will need to install first the compiz package as well.
Try yum install compiz. It should install compizconfig-settings-manager. If it does not then manually install it as well. Once it is installed you will have compiz running. Ubuntu does not install compizconfig-settings-manager through apt. You will have to look around if F9 installs it or not. It should not be much of an issue. You will know if compiz is running.
