you need to use boot options

xdriver=vesa
or
text

or
xdriver=vesa resolution=1024x768

or

xdriver=radeon

see http://docs.fedoraproject.org/instal...l#sn-boot-menu

huneyd:

Nothing against Fedora, its just that there are more users that can help you if you are installing Ubuntu or Mint into an ATI.

If I were you, being a newbie also, I would try familiarize my self with easier distro like Ubuntu where more people are ready to respond to my need.

Also, ATI has always been known to pose problems with linux not really that helpful for a newbie. I really wish to help you but I cannot be sure with what to tell since I don't run Fedora until now although I have a very good installer right here. I set it aside after failing to install into my ATI infested laptop where Ubuntu and Slackware happily run.

You may return to Fedora after getting familiar with how Gnu/Linux works.

Hope I helped you.

Goodluck.

That card may cause problems in Ubuntu and with the latest driver from AMD. Some cases are known.
Install Fedora and then the ati driver from the ati site for all features or just stick with 'radeon'
