Ardour 2.5 existing audio access problem

I was able to use it just fine when I was running Ubuntu 8.04, but now that I'm running 8.1, I can't access my existing audio.

What do you mean by can't access existing audio?

Can you see the file with the software?

Is it giving any error messages?

On the 8.4 Ubuntu one, I would click on "Insert existing audio" and the screen would come up with my audio clips directory. Now that screen comes up and I can't do anything with it, can't change any info in it, all I can do is hit cancel.

It's not a big deal, I'm not too happy with ANY of the DAW aps, but Ardour is the least frustrating so I've been using that.
