Talking flames and spins and tigers oh my

It would be a little helpful if we knew what distribution you were using.

In Ubuntu 9.04 go to System -> Preferences -> Apperances - the last tab on the right and set it for extra.

You might also want to go to Synaptic and download the GUI for Compiz setting manager so you can more easily config the fire and all that stuff that you want.

right, I tried that before, but it does not let me choose extra.
it only let me choose normal or standard.

I try to install my VGA card, but it does not seem to work.

my distribution?

I don't know what that means, but I downloaded the ubuntu 9.04 couple weeks ago off the ubuntu website, and I'm currently using Window vista as well.

I have IBM lenovo R61i 8932A78
