Whats going on guys....Ive only really used standard hard drives in my systems and was thinking of upgrading lately. Does anyone know of any good/reliable SSD's on the market?
I have been looking around for a lil bit now trying to read reviews and specs so can find something decent, mainly on new egg but everyone seems to complain about them failing in a couple months or not being compatible with there setup.
Yea I was looking at them also. I figured 120GB should be enough for me because I dont keep alot on my computer anyway... Was looking into getting an MLC because was told the have better performance but the TLC's seem to have better stability when I read the reviews
I usually trust those reviews if they are a lot of people. I've had a small 480G running for a few years and the only problem may be it's too fast sometimes. Some of the older systems may act odd with some of the faster ones.
If you can fit a M2 in there you can get some out of this world numbers.
I doubt they run in the class of enterprise level mechanical hard drives however.
Intel or Samsung Pro may be best quality in my opinion.
Yea I was going through the reviews for like an hr the other night trying to find something good... I even read about one blowing up on a dude, well sparked out the back as soon as he connected it lol but I actually also have a slot for an mSata too, what do you think of them? The only thing is I heard they heat up pretty good.
All this because my hard drive started clicking out of no where recently. I ran checkdisk to see if could fix it for now and even cleaned the hard drive with an aircan but nada.
is running well over a year now so will see... I like that you're doing a good amount of homework first, makes for a good buy. Oh and of course, backups, backups, backups.
