Question Alfa Awus036H

Machines: Dell Inspiron 1564 and Acer Aspire AOD 257

Linux Version: BT5

From what I have been able to find only BT versions 2 and 3 are directly supported by the 036h and some modifications can be made for the 036h to work in bt4 and that an installer needs to be made for the 036h driver for it to work in bt5.

I have no idea how to make an installer for the driver so I am curious if anyone knows if there is an installer already made for the 036h's driver? Z/Z

that wireless card uses the RTL-8187L chipset, which is a linux-supported chipset. To be useful with BT for anything other than regular internet use it has to be used with a patched driver, which afaik BT already includes.

If the 036h supported bt5 I wouldn't be posting

BT5 and BT5R1 do NOT work with the 036H in any capacity... I have tried disabling the wifi mini to no effect... the alfa's green light does not even flicker to indicate it is receiving power or connection of any kind. Z/Z
