For your information Madrake 9.2 install the ADSL and Nvidia as part of the installaion no hastle (later Kernal).

However, I am staying with thgis for the time being.

I have Mandrake 9.2 and Alcatel Speedtouch USB modem.

No...no...no....




When I saw THAT many commands just to install a simple driver, I gave up
on Mandrake.

I'll rather learn something more useful than installing the driver.

Tommorow will be another, much simpler way of installing it anyway.

Maybe with next version of Mandrake it will install in automatically.

That's how it should be anyway.

Win XP does not need a driver at all.

OK I am up and running with the ADSL Speedtouch USB.

I have to say that it was a shock to start with, but I found it both challenging and interesting. I have learnt a great deat about the system.

I would like to thank you very much for your patience and support, it's great. And a site that is truly helpful.
