Alcatel Speedtouch USB ADSL Modem under Suse 9.0 - Help!

I'm a newbie to Linux, and have just installed Suse 9.0.

It runs great, but it won't detect my USB modem.

Is there a patch or something that needs to be applied to get this running?

Any tips wouold be appreciated.

This is to configure it in SuSE 8. But, I am sure the procedure will work just fine even for SuSE 9.

Hope thsi helps.
