after opening laptop , the keyboard doesn't work for password

I am using Linux Mint 21.2. Since the beginning of use when I open the laptop the keyboard doesn't want to work for the password. It takes about 1 minute to work. What can I do for this problem?

would be nice to give more details, like is it a desktop or cli environment? What kind of GUI is it? What laptop is it? Is it an external keyboard? does your mouse and on-screen keyboard work?

please, review again.

My device is laptop.

Model : HP Laptop 14s-dq2095TU
Microprocessor : Intel® Core™ i3-1115G4 (up to 4.1 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 6 MB L3 cache, 2 cores)
Chipset : Intel® Integrated SoC
Memory, standard : 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB)
Video graphics : Intel® UHD Graphics
Hard drive : 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD.
Display : 14" diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, micro-edge, BrightView, 250 nits, 45% NTSC.

When I turn on the laptop the laptop keyboard doesn't work immediately for the password. After some time it works again. But the mouse pad and the external keyboard works in that time. My mouse and on-screen keyboard work properly.Earlier when I was using Windows 11 this problem did not occur. Is It motherboard's problem or Others? Please, What can I do?

Does it not work at all; or does it work, but slowly; or do you have to enter it more than once for it to work; or do you have to wait a minute before entering the password will work?

This could possibly be a problem with a weak battery. Is your laptop plugged in? Check the battery level when you finally get logged in.

It's work properly but when I power on my laptop then It's not want to take my password immediately. Password corner is activated after waiting sometime. In this time my mouse pad work well. Other times my laptop keyboard work very smoothly. Thanks.

what kind of password is it? User, bios, luks or ??
Probably the system needs some time to activate the driver for it (or connect to something??).

That time delay probably indicates that there is first the wakeup occurring, then additional configs to fully load everything and be ready to respond to user input. If it actually does eventually work then this seems not a hardware or os error, but probably a normal wake up process. I am not sure anything can be done about that.

Is this waking up from suspend with power still on? or is it wake up from hibernation where the system has to power on then reload memory from the drive swap space?
