I have downloaded a knoppix3.7 iso image for use. Without a CD-RW and bootable CD-ROM, I try to boot my computer with the following two method:
1. From one article, I use loadlin. Here is how I do:
copy the whole directory KNOPPIX in CD to my /dev/hdb6, then boot the computer into DOS. type in command line-
c:\>loadlin isolinux\linux24 root=/dev/hdb6 ramdisk_size=100000 init=/etc/init lang=en apm=power-off vga=791 initrd=isolinux\minirt24.gz nomce quiet BOOT_IMAGE=knoppix config=scan home=scan
I made it. but things seemed that during the knoppix boot, it omited the parameter "config=scan home=scan"
WHY?
2. I want to make bootable floppy of KNOPPIX which then can be used by a program named VFLOPPY. This is a program that can use a floppy image to boot the computer by Utilizing Winnt Bootloader. So my method is:
make a KNOPPIX floppy, dd the fd0 to make a floppy image, use VFLOPPY to load the image when computer booting to get into KNOPPIX OS.
KNOPPIX needs 2 floppy discs. After I finished floppy discs, the first floppy is VFAT filesystem and can be mounted normally, but the second floppy can't be mounted. I don't know what's hell in it.
My question is
How to combine the 2 floppy discs to make a 2.88M floppy image? can this image be workable?
