A downloaded file does not exist???

I've downloaded a program called Alice-2.0.0.tar.gz

anyway's in my "Shell - Konsole" im running the command: tar xvfz Alice-2.0.0.tar.gz
& yet it's telling me no such file or directory exists. It worked yesterday before I reinstalled slack.

Any suggestions?

You may not be in the directory where the package tarball is located. cd to the directory where it is and then try to extract it.
