3c509 cant ping out - others ping it fine!

I loaded up eth0...specifying the module for 3c509 in my modules.conf file.

The computer finds the interface (eth0), assigns it the static IP, and it can be pinged by others on the lan...but I dont recive pings back when I ping out!

Any ideas?
