WiFi conection problems Slackware12.1 LevelOne WNC-0305

Hello to everybody.

I want to connect to a wi-fi AcessPoint via a wi-fi USB adapter. The access point is in WPA encryption mode.

I configure wpa_supplicant.conf in that way:

eapol_version=1
ap_scan=1
fast_reauth=1

network ={
ssid="NET_NAME"
proto=WPA
key_mgmt=WPA_PSK
pairwise=TKIP
group=TKIP
psk="NET_KEY"
}

iwlist wlan0
finds the access point
then I run

wpa_supplicant -Dwext -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -dd

dhcpcd wlan0

wpa_gui shows that I am connected and also shows my IP address

But after when I run FireFox the connection drops after 30-60 seconds. (I can load some web pages, but only for a short period of time).

Please, help with an advise.
