Webmin doesn't set things up correctly?
I'm setting up a samba-server for a school, FC4
Since I'm quitting soon and the other 2 admins know nothing about Linux, I'm looking at Webmin for them to use.
Well, webmin looks easy enough for a Windows-admin - but the problem is it doesn't seem to do the work?
The 2 problems I have seen so far are:
1) Firewall: some options listed do not work, looking in /etc/shorewall/interfaces there are lots of other options instead.
Also enabling smb (137-139,445) doesn't enable samba-filesharing.
2) User admin: I configured automatic Unix and Samba user synchronisation - it doesn't sync.
The basic smb.conf seems to work though.
I could set these things up in other ways - basically making a few scripts for them to run - the question is quite simply:
Is Webmin unreliable? If they try other webmin-modules, will they screw up as well?
Or have I just missed something in webmin-configuration? (I haven't actually configured it, just using default.)
