I am considering setting up a VPN between home and work. This VPN is TO home FROM work, though, because I just want to be able to access my files at home from work (music, mostly). I work at a small business, so both my router and my employer's router are simple linksys 4-port junk routers... neither support VPNs.

However, I've heard that you can set up a VPN between two computers instead of between a computer and a router or two routers. What I want to do is connect from my work computer through both routers to my linux box, which is running samba:

Work Computer -> Work Router -> *INTERNET* -> Home Router -> Samba -> Linux Box

How do I set up Samba to accept a VPN? Or do I need to start another service for that? I don't really know where to start.

there is something called CIPE that allows linux systems to establish a vpn. I have no experience with it though, all mine is in establishing M$ vpn's and hardware vpn's with routers.
