OK I have setup a VPN fine to connect to the server at work no problem with that.

But I then need to Remote Desktop to another PC on the same network this fails using rdesktop.

I think the problem maybe that rdesktop is using eth0 to try to connect to this PC. The VPN sets up a virtual interface ppp0 I can ping the PC i need to connect to using ping -i ppp0 <ip address>

My question is can redesktop be told to use interface ppp0 I cannot find any documentation at all on this and nothing in rdesktop. So was hoping someone has had a similar problem and solved it

you wouldn't tell the application anythign about this, it's just going to be down to the routing table on your system. if you can ping the remote box, you can rdesktop to it.
