Undoing pppoeconf

I searched for some documentation on pppoeconf, but couldn't find anything descriptive as to what it does. Basically, I purchased a router and no longer need pppoe support on my Ubuntu 6.06 box. How do I undo the changes made by pppoeconf when setting up the connection? I believe it connects at boot time.
