Unable to send Mail !

Since having reinstalled my operating system
I am unable to send any mail to any other address but my providers address which is wanadoo.fr
Indeed I can send and receive mail to myself using my default wanadoo.fr address but if I try any other address
I get either " mail box unavailable or relaying not allowed " depending on which address I use
I have several other accounts using a different pop server but allways using my providers smpt.
All my other Internet applications work.

This is indeed strange as I have set up mail account for years now and I have never seen this before
My provider says that all is fine with my account and they have no problems their side. Indeed the problem is
on my side as i can set up all my accounts on a Win2K PC using Outlook EXP with no problem at all.

I use the Darke utility to share my connection to enable my 3 other PC's on my lan to access the Internet and this all works.

I dont think that its a firewall issue as I have had this set up running identical for over a year now.

I imagine that its a stupid little thing but I cant seem to put my finger on it
If somebody has experienced this and has maybe a clue please let me know
Here are my configuration details
OS Mandrake 10
Mail client Evolution / Mozilla Thunderbird
Apache 2 / php4 / Mysql

I can post my resolv.conf / hosts files ( if this has any thing to do with it )
192.168.0.50 is the Linux PC which connects to The Internet.

many service providers block 25 port. Wanadoo is one of them and denies blocking 25 port. Start your mailserver on 26 port and connect your mail client to 26 port.

Using
I just tried port 26 for the pop and port 26 for smpt
doesnt work
with port 110 for pop and 26 for smtp doesnt work either

I dont have a mail server running on my pc.

what I meant was - your service provider does not allow you to use any other mail server on 25 port. You have to configure your mail client properly (usernam/pass/ server name etc) and use wanadoo on 25 port.

check if you can "telnet [HOST] [PORT]" to prove the connectivity

If you want to use your own mail server or if someone is running a mail server on 26 port for you then you can connect on 26 port.

I dont know how to use telnet with a specific port
I tried
telnet>wanadoo.fr 25
but that didnt work

I tried changing the port in Firefox as Evolution doesnt seem to allow this
pop110
smtp 26
but this didnt work either
Strange that the only mail i can send is to wanadoo.fr any other provider address is refused!

All my accounts worked fine last week . I wonder if they have done something recently even though they denied it
I recently wrote theme a stinking letter because they refuse to answer any question whatsoever if you dont use M$

It seems that my provider wanadoo.fr is blocking every e mail address but their owm ones as I cant send a mail to any other address.

Is there a way that that they can detect what client I am using .

As Outlook /win2k works ??
