trying to getipw2100 with fc4 working

I posted a thread back in Jan this year, and looks like it's about time for me to try again.

At the moment, I can't even get the cable network working, and I am writing this on my laptop.

Well, i got upto the stage where fc recognises the driver, but I can't change the rate, channel ... etc.

So every time I try to connect to any ssid, it comes up with the message saying saying

Error : unrecognised wireless request "kb/s"

Any Ideas?

FC4 and above already have drivers for Intel Pro Wireless, but you need to install the proprietary firmware to make this work. NetworkManager is not essential, but if you install it it automatically handles configuration and interface switchover for you.
