This one has me confused...

My internet is set up correctly as far as i can tell. ifconfig eth0 gives:
Code:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0C:6E:E1:C9:4A
          inet addr:192.168.0.100 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:3804 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:3757 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:2733690 (2.6 Mb) TX bytes:666020 (650.4 Kb)
          Interrupt:18
/etc/resolv.conf

Code:
domain
nameserver 203.161.127.1
nameserver 203.153.224.42
/etc/hostname #If it makes a difference

Code:
127.0.0.1 coffee.bean.cup coffeebean localhost
/etc/

This a gentoo system. I can ping one of my dns server ip adresses. It's odd though, I get one reply and then nothing, the rest fail. When I try and ping anything else, inluding my router, I get nothing, 100% packet loss.

When the system starts up, everything runs smoothly, no error messages. It brings up eth0, brings up the gateway it all looks good. But no net access. I have run out of ideas for getting this setup. I had net access during the install and with this live cd.

Any ideas or answers are appreciated.

Cheers

Firewall hadn't been set up yet, it was just a minimal gentoo install.

Good question, unfortunately too late for me to answer. I am part way through reinstalling Gentoo right now- paying extra attention to detail.
