Hello,
I have just installed red hat linux on my computer,there are another computers in the network with Windows Xp installed. The Problem is i am unable to join windows xp machine to Linux domain.Though i can browse the linux shares in WIndows XP. The error i get when joinig the domain is "logon failiure:unknown user or bad password" .Please Help!
Not sure if you have a real domain or just a server, but have you added the Windows XP users to the Linux box via smbpasswd -a myname ? See if you have the entire samba docs in /usr/share/doc/samba-xxxx/.
