telnet remote echo off problem

hi all,

Our client uses a foxpro application running on RH Linux 7.1 server using DOS emulator. He connects to the server using telnet to run the application remotely.
He is getting characters echoed back to him when he types something. We want to disable this. We have disabled local echo in the telnet client. The server is running in character mode as per the status command. The local echo is off, but the remote echo is on.

Is there any way to disable remote server echo? There should not be any echo at all.

regards,
Anand
