Unhappy Swat


Hello friendz i am very new to linux, and i am very much interested in Linux networking.i heard that SWAT is a web administration tool to configure smb.conf file.
i searched for SWAT package on my system but unable to find any entries in /usr/sbin.How can i obtain SWAT for my machine or how can i enable it if it is alredy installed.I am having system with fedora core 2.
Thanx is advance.

You can check with the command line:

rpm -qa |grep swat

if you only get your prompt back, you haven't installed it and you need to get it from the fedora core 2 distribution cd's or site, it's called "samba-swat" or something like that. Then if you have installed it, enable it by typing "chkconfig swat on" and then you can open a web browser and surf to your local machine, port 901. It's like 127.0.0.1:901 in your browser address field.
