Suse 10.1 with Samba 3.0.22-13.18 - slow

Hi,
i am trying to use the above mentioned versions to run our single Fileserver with one printer attached for 13 Clients ( all using Windows 98 SE ). But in comparrison to Suse 9.1 with Samba 3.0.2a-51 our Office software for order processing runs much slower?
My smb.conf file is displayed below, can you see if i made a mistake somewhere or could this problem be somewhere else.
I have installed both above mentioned versions on the same hardware. Suse 9.1 OK, Suse 10.1 to slow.

any help will be appreciated
Regards
mkcbv

First i tried to use the standard configuration, just added my share. Trying not to change to much. As soon as i found the performance problems, i tried to switch on various settings unfortunately without success. If you could give me a suggestion for a configuration to start with and then build up again, i would be very greatfull.
