Googled the question a bit and found many search posts. Not really specific but this may be what may work for you.

May be able to do the same with Alsa but that is whole different animal.
Or possible nx over a ssh connection.
At any point sending audio over the network can be a bandwidth hog depending on what is needed to be heard. Example is a 128k mp3 uses about 18k if I am thinking correctly.
