sleeping eth1

Hi all

Since I've installed new version of slackware (10.1) I have problem with connecting to the Internet. I've edit rc.inet1 and put there" DHCP="yes" but it doesn't work so the result of ifconfig is only info about lo and eth0 which is connected to LAN (I want to use eth1 to connect to the Internet). I'm sure that my ISP's DHCP works correctly.
My eth1 is RTL8139 and I can see info about it when I use ifconfig -a
Any ideas how to bring to live my eth1 ?

I've try to wake up my eth1 using ifconfig eth1 and the result was:
SIOCSIFFLAGS: resource temporarily unavailable
