Red face Sleeping

Is it possible to make your computer sleep after a while, just like in windows? If yes how do I do it with Mandrake Linux.

Yes, KDE has all sorts of tools. I don't really use Mandrake, so I can't help you there. Try setting Power Management on under your KDE settings.

take a look at the "Laptop Battery" section of the PowerControl of the KDE Administration tool (no matter if your not using a laptop). There's a tab called Power Control. There you COULD configure apm o acpi stuff if you setuid some things. I guess you could fool around a little to get it working (i personally don't put my computer to sleep). Or you could try to do it by configuring apm or acpi directly like the administrator... don't know what you could get working like that really.... But I hope I showed a path.
