Question Server Client?

I have two computers that I would like to set up a sever client.
Where the client has no home dir but rather signs on to the severs
home dir witch I have a partioned the hard drive to hold the home dir.
I know there are some tools that i just dont know how to use.
I would be much appreciative of any help.
