[x server] <- [x client]
I wanted to know more about X servers and clients, so RTFM'd. Now, it looks to me like it is possible to have a graphical frontend to my home Linux server ( using Hummingbird eXceed for an Xserver on my work Win2k box). I should be able to use the X display on the Win2k box like if it was a graphical console physically connected to my Linux Server. How do I go about this? Also, how can I connect (graphically) from one Linux box to my linux server? Quite tired of OpenSSH-ing in text mode.
To connect to remote X you need to use xhost (to allow connections) and set DISPLAY variable (on sencond machine).
What about Exceed? Look into its configuration. I don't remember correctly how to configure it, but it was mostly done by configuration programs.
