Sending data to linux server using sftp is too much slow
Dear Everyone,
I am sending .zip file data to ec2 linux machine from my windows machine using SFTP.
but i feel it too much slow because when i was sending 50MB of zip file it was taking 43 min to send. But normal speed of SFTP is 1-1.5MB/sec.
And when i uploading using winscp also same time it is taking to upload 50MB.
i dont know where i m going wrong i have to do any changes on my linux machine or on windows machine?
SFTP doesn't have a "normal speed". that makes no sense. The speed of a transfer is down to the amount of network bandwidth you have. A protocol can not have a speed.
But i searched on net everyone says they transfer 1-1.5MB/sec using SFTP so only i m asking is there anything i have to do in my windows or linux machine leaving amount of bandwidth i m using to increase my speed of transfer?
You could *try* splitting large files into multiple parts and uploading all parts at the same time. You may see a benefit from doing this, but I'm not sure how the back end code really works with multiple files in the background.
