Samba Version 3.0.2a-UL as PDC + Windows XP

Hy!

I use Samba Version 3.0.2a-UL as a PDC an Windows 2000 as Client = no Problem.

Now I have to swtich to Windows XP.

I can join the Domain but after reboot a can`t login. The System says "You can not log in as the Domain is not available.

My Samba works with Windows 2000 without a problem.

I also tried to change the RegistryKey as described at http://www.ccs.uky.edu/docs/samba.htm

No success.

Any ideas ?

My Regedit:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; Windows XP Professional
; enable windows logon to samba server as domain controller (pdc) with roaming profile

; disable secure channel
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters]
"requiresignorseal"=dword:00000000
"signsecurechannel"=dword:00000000

; disable check for user ownership of Roaming Profile Folders
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System]
"CompatibleRUPSecurity"=dword:00000001

ok, i have solved it

I simply logged into the client, once used the unc path an then rebooted the client and it worked.

Seems to be something with the routing, as the client just seems not to find the open share on the server..... I will investigate this some more soon.....

I've been trying to make this work for a long time, but I haven't been successful. Have you been using OpenLDAP? Do you have a how-to on how to do this?? Please help!
