Question router - static and dhcp advice/help please

Hi,

This is my rather sad setup, I'd appreciate any advice you could give.

I have a computer which connects through a usb modem to my isp. I get my IP through dhcp from my ISP.

I also have a router (doesn't connect to the net at all) which connects to the computer above through the normal cable and lan ports.

There will be a few more computers connecting to the network through the router at a later stage.

So with having a changing ip on the computer how do I connect to the router!?

Thanks,

Justin.

Your best bet would be to add an extra networkcard, then use masguerading.
Connect the router to the second network card, and the rest of the network to the router.
Your linuxbox will act as a router, and give internetaccess to he rest of the network.

modem => linux box => router => internal network.
