Question RH9 & Apache Named Based Virt Hosts

Hello All,

I have an RH9 webserver on my home lan. I have a pppoe dsl connection via verizon. I run an IPCOP firewall which forwards port 8080 to my webserver, which has a private IP. All works fine.

The webserver has multiple named based virtual hosts. If I access the primary (default) apache site from my lan, it works fine. If I try to access one of the virtual hosts from the lan, it fails.

I am not running an internal DNS server. I have only about 9 hosts so I use a host file on each client.

Why can I not see any virtual host besides the default one from my LAN? it all works fine from the outside...

Thanks

mwm

It could be the network configuration, or the Apache configuration.

The first test would be to ping the virtual host (by name) from your LAN client to see if you are getting through to your RH host with the virtual host name, if not, you've got some name resolution issues to work out. If that works, then we probably need to look at your Apache configuration.
