Redhat 9 DHCP Problem with DFE-530TX+

Hi, let me begin by telling you all that I am a fresh newbie, so be gentle.

I'm having problems with getting my university internet working in Redhat 9. I've got my ethernet card all set up at eth0 to work with DHCP to determine the IP. Static IP is not an option.

It won't work. I keep getting "Determining IP information for eth0...failed".

I've looked around at other posts, but I'm lost. Can somebody help me out here?

I have the same card, and am having a similar problem. (aslo a noob)

my error message says:

"Determining IP information for eth0...iptables: No chain/target/match by that name.
Failed.
iptables: Bad rule (does a matching rule exist in that chain?)"

I would love some help on this.
