redhat 8.0


hello everyone. I waz wondering if anyone here know how to setup a network between a box wit windows xp an my laptop (compaq aramda e500) wit linux red hat 8.0.. thankz

You need a connection between the two computers.

This can be ethernet (fast), rs232 serial (slow), or even parallel port using PLIP (kind of a kludge, but works). Also USB, but I haven't done that yet.

Which would you like to try?

hi,,

to connect from an windows box to another linux box u have to configure samba in your linux box.only then u can share the file and printer bvetween these two.plz refer the documents and configure.if this dose'nt solve ur need plz let me know.
