Red Hat client does not appear in Windows DHCP server

My network at home includes a Windows 2000 server running (among other things) a DHCP server. When my linux machine was running Red Hat 7x, it registered with the MS DHCP server just fine. Recently, I upgraded to Red Hat 9. Now my linux machine still gets an IP address, but the lease no longer appears in the MS DHCP list. Has anyone seen this before? Any idea why this would be happening? I know I could run DHCP on the linux box, but I'm not sure I'm ready to take off the training wheels yet.
