Question ProFTP


Installed Mandrake 10.1 and now want to use this box as a simple FTP server, just to learn for e.g. FTP file from home to work and visa versa, discovered ProFTPD but need some help, latest version is 1.2.10?

How do I go about getting this up and running? Please bare in-mind I am brand new to this......

If you want a GUI to set it up from, GProFTPD does a very good job.

Question

Thanks for the two replies, will try both on Monday and let you know how it went, comign from a MS platform the GUI one sounds easier but I will try the text way first.....is this a better tool to use just for people to drop and pick up files....?
