I'm not sure if slackware comes with cups but it probably does so go into a web browser and type
http://localhost:631
you will have to enter your root password and then go into printers and then click
add printer
From there it is pretty self explanatory

I have read some of your other post and it seems like you are running out of room on your harddrive which is probabaly the source of the problem. How far where you before you got that error?

Okay well I set it up but my printer was not on the list. I have a CanonS630 so I just chose CanonS800
When I choose something to print, should it automatically choose the printer I setup?

THanks for all your help guys@

Can you go into the printers section and start the printer?

Yes I can. I'll start it, go to the jobs, go back and it'll be stopped...

Do you have foomatic installed
http://www.linuxprinting.org/foomatic.html
Once you have installed it will give you more options for printers and such. I have the Cannon S630 option with foomatic option.

I tried that and it said it didn't find that file so I restarted and tried to configure the printer again and it didn't show the CanonS630

Am I missing something with the foomatic?
