ppp problem,

I upgraded to 2.6.4, and now my PCMCIA modem doesn't work. The following line in /var/log/syslog

Can't get terminal parameters: Input/output error

What to do?

Hello,

Might try checking modem connectivity through /usr/sbin/kppp (GUI).
Any luck with kudzu (/usr/sbin/kudzu)?

Well, kppp doesn't work, It didn't work before I upgraded, something about the modem being busy...and I don't have kudzu installed. Thanks for replying, I hope someone else has some idea...

I'm still looking for a solution to this...anyone? I booted back to 2.4 (where it works fine) and installed kudzu. When I ran it (under 2.6), it told that it was, in fact, going to use /sys/bus/pci/devices, and then it segfaults. Any other suggestions?

Could you try lsmod and post the output here.
(I'm no expert so don't get your hopes up but I spen AGEs getting wireless pcmcia working so have an idea of the modules it uses for kernel/modular running)
