Power loss then spotty network connectivity
Im using Ubuntu 6.06 and I had a power failure last week; ever since, my internet/network connectivity has been spotty.
For instance, no matter what web page I go to, firefox gives me the ol "Problem loading page, timed out" error, but when I refresh the page it works. Also, if I try to SSH to a box local on my LAN or over the internet, I first get an error saying
"ssh: connect to host <host> port <port>: Resource temporarily unavailable"
But again, if I SSH to the same location again right after this I can connect. So the network connection works, but it just needs a kickstart and is annoying as hell
One thing of note, I did have several SSH sessions open and likely a live connection on Firefox when the power loss did occur.
Any suggestions?
I posted this on ubuntuforums.com this morning, Excuse the cross post, Im just looking for a wider audience
