portscan 80 is reponding, but still can not access webiste by external ip, under NVG5

dear gibbs or any networking experts:

my name is eric Lin, in Los Angeles, downtown, CA. I read your(Gibbs) article about at&t motorola NVG510 uverse plan, which I use it too. I also using linux ubuntu. can you give me a hint
how can I broadcast web from apache2 on my system? I follow an article on portforward.com, make to port80 in that dsl/router be available and I also check by portscan through my external ip from t1shopper.com website, it do find my port80 is reponding, but
when I type in my external ip on my firefox browser, it still not work-problem loading page(can not see my site , I can see by http://localhost on my firefox browser). I hope it is not hardware problem.
I know my linux ubuntu is good, since I tested it on TimeWarner's cable modem system,
it can broadcast website even in dynamic ip and without change any setting(modify file or
iptables, etc.)
but
please help by all knowledge as you can. thanks a lot in advance, EL

I would double check that the port forwarding rule is correct. Also, check to see if you have any local firewalls blocking access to port 80 (like iptables).
